Kayla McNiff
Owner & Principal Bookkeeper
Elsberry & Silex, MO · Serving 3 Counties
I am known for my strong values, resilience, and commitment to personal growth. Growing up in the small town of Elsberry, Missouri, I learned early the importance of family, hard work, and staying true to who I am. After moving to Silex, Missouri, I continued building a life rooted in purpose, connection, and steady self-improvement.
I’ve always had a heart for helping people, even before I knew what that would look like. Medical school was never an option for me, but I knew I wanted to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. Over time, I realized that one of the biggest struggles people face is finance — managing money, budgeting, staying organized, and feeling confident about their financial decisions. Numbers have always been my strong suit, from grade school through college, and I naturally turn situations into math problems to find clear, practical solutions.
Becoming a bookkeeper became the perfect way for me to help people in a way that feels genuine, practical, and meaningful. Managing money can feel overwhelming for business owners, but I work confidently with spreadsheets and QuickBooks to bring complete clarity.
I am currently attending Bryan University, where I am pursuing my bachelor’s degree in finance. Education is important to me because I want to build a strong foundation for my future and eventually grow my own business with confidence and integrity. I’ve always wanted to own my own business — it just took me time to figure out what I wanted to build and how to do it the right way.
I am patient, kind-hearted, and thoughtful. I sit back and analyze before jumping to conclusions, and I take immense pride in doing more than what is required.
"I’ve been told I do too much when a job only calls for the bare minimum, but that’s simply who I am. I care. I check in on people. I support small businesses and help them grow, offering recommendations when I know of other services that can benefit them."
Honesty, confidentiality, and trust are extremely important to me. If I am unable to help someone with a specific specialized issue, I will always help them find someone who can.
Multi-Generational Vision
In the future, I hope to expand my business into financial advising and eventually pass it down to my children and their children — building a lasting legacy rooted in service, trust, and financial wisdom.
Life Outside the Ledger
Outside of academics and work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, connecting with my family, and pursuing hobbies that keep me grounded and inspired. I value honesty, loyalty, and meaningful relationships, and I carry those qualities into everything I do. I lead with heart and show up fully for the people I care about.
What Sets Me Apart
Businesses choose me because I bring more than technical skills — I bring heart, accuracy, and genuine care. I don’t just manage numbers; I support people, reduce stress, and create financial confidence.
Relationships, Not Transactions
I care deeply about people and their success. I check in, communicate, and treat bookkeeping as a genuine partnership rather than a transaction.
Excellence Over Bare Minimum
I’ve been told I do 'too much' when a job calls for the bare minimum — but that’s simply who I am. I take immense pride in delivering immaculate, CPA-ready books.
Analyze Before Acting
I am patient, kind-hearted, and detail-oriented. I sit back and analyze before jumping to conclusions, preventing costly financial mistakes before they happen.
Uncompromising Integrity
Honesty, confidentiality, and trust are paramount. If I am ever unable to solve a specific problem, I will personally help you find someone who can.
Supporting Local Growth
Growing up in a small town taught me the true value of local enterprise. I actively support small businesses and connect clients with services that help them thrive.
Spreadsheet & QuickBooks Mastery
Managing money and budgeting can feel overwhelming. Numbers have always been my strong suit, and I naturally turn complex situations into structured math problems to bring clarity.
Bryan University Finance Degree
Pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Finance at Bryan University builds a rock-solid foundation to serve clients with integrity today and expand into financial advising tomorrow.
Penny-Perfect Precision
Schooled behind a Central Bank teller window and serving as City Clerk for Silex, Missouri, municipal-level record keeping and daily penny-perfect reconciliations are in my DNA.
"Rooted in small-town strength and guided by purpose, I continue to grow into the woman I strive to be — resilient, loyal, and deeply connected to the people and places that shaped me."
